California Wedding & Elopement Photographer Based In Los Angeles
There’s no such thing as ‘awkward on camera’
I believe in prioritizing your comfort, supporting your vision and creating images that feel like you.
Elopement Photography
Having a big wedding with 200 guests isn’t for everyone. Maybe you don’t want to spend that kind of money or you don’t want the stress of planning such an event. Maybe you did the math and realized you would only get to speak to each guest for around 45 seconds and you hate that idea. Or maybe, you just want to celebrate in your own unique way with just a few select people. Whatever your reason might be, I fully support your decision for a more intimate celebration.
When planning a more intimate celebration of your love, your options become endless. You can invite 20 people or zero. You can go hike to an insane viewpoint to privately say your vows or have your first kiss standing on a paddleboard. You can choose to celebrate quietly, just taking in the scenery or you can do something adrenaline inducing that you’ve always wanted to try. There are no rules.
I’m here to help bring that vision of your elopement to life; everything from helping you select a location and potential activities, to the less fun logistical stuff. Then I’ll be there with you as your friend and biggest supporter documenting that very special and unique day. My mission is to make you so comfortable and to create beautiful images that really feel like you. Images that reveal the love, trust and authenticity you share with your partner. Images that future you will thank you for.
Candid & True
Your wedding is a big friggen deal. No matter the setting, it is sure to be a day full of laughing, crying happy tears and celebrating with all that you have to give with the person you love most. Let your personality shine, allow yourself to be immersed in the experience and create everlasting memories.
It is my mission to preserve the real moments and experiences that unfold on that day. While you are getting lost in the moment, I am relentlessly documenting the story. I am using my camera merely as a tool to capture the genuine candid moments and honest emotion that make your day truly beautiful. Shot after shot I am doing everything I can to problem solve, find interesting points of view and create epic storytelling images of these real moments. Because I truly put the story first, I am adapting to each scene and moment individually. I am asking myself, “How can I capture this moment in the most fitting way, right here, right now.”
Of course, I do take control for the family formals and the couple’s portraits (especially those epic environmental portraits). Often my couples tell me “we are kind of awkward in front of the camera.” Let me just tell you that this is never true. My approach to the portraits is to encourage real interaction and movement between the two of you without ‘overly posing’. I would call it “giving necessary direction.”
