El Matador Beach Engagement Session | Adelle & Kyle

El Matador Beach in Malibu, California is a hot spot for photography, especially engagement sessions! On any given evening there could be upwards of 30 different photography sessions going down. With this, sometimes El Matador can be very stressful, and often leaves me with a ton of photoshop work to remove people from the backgrounds. I was willing to take the risk for Adelle and Kyle because this was the location of one of their very first dates, and I love sentimental things like that.

Though the tide was high, we actually didn’t have any issues with there being too many people. I only photoshopped one person out of one photo! I was so stoked. It was a beautiful day and Adelle and Kyle had a contagious energy. It was perfect blend of romance, laughter and a touch of silliness. Okay, a lot of silliness.

After El Matador Beach, we drove down to Leo Carrillo State Beach to finish the session there. I brought some lanterns to try out a few fun night shots, and I definitely learned from my mistakes, but we still got something fun. Enjoy!
