Forest Chapel Wedding, Mammoth, CA | Rachel and Paul

It was such a pleasure getting to photograph Rachel and Paul’s wedding at Forest Chapel in Mammoth, California. Just a month out from their wedding, on top of all the Covid difficulties, the California wildfires forced all of the Inyo national forest land to shut down. This included Forest Chapel and the original first look location.

I communicated with Rachel and Paul and we decided to zoom into Yosemite National Park the morning of their wedding for an epic session with the two of them and their wedding party. It was incredible, and seeing them interact with each other and their friends assured me that we were going to have an epic day.

Less than 24 hours before, forest land opened up and we were given the green light for Forest Chapel. (Because of the fires, the ceremony was moved to another location). Everything worked out exactly as it was meant to be.
