Sierra Meadows Ranch Wedding, Mammoth, CA | Danielle and Krammer

I always say to expect the unexpected on your wedding day. After years of photographing weddings I’ve learned that anything can and will happen. You just have to roll with it!

Danielle and Krammer’s wedding was set in the beautiful Mammoth Lakes area at Sierra Meadows Ranch. The day started out surprisingly warm, sunny and still. About an hour before the ceremony this was no longer the case. The wind blew in thick, dark clouds. The temperature dropped and rain began to poor.

The amazing team from Green Fox Events was able to move the entire ceremony setup into the reception tent in the rain. During this, everyone had a little pre-ceremony party in the cabins on site.

Because of the rain, the pre-ceremony photos were put off until after. While this created a tighter timeline, I think it was exactly the way it was meant to be. The clouds barely split, the rain stopped and we were given the perfect back drop and lighting conditions for the family and wedding party formals. This really set the tone for the events that followed.

With all of their closest family and friends, they shared tears and laughs during the toasts, there was a standing ovation for an emotional mother-daughter dance, and an explosive energy inside the tent was present until the last song of the night finished. The icing on the cake for me was all the men wearing wigs supplied by the Tahoe Photo Bus for the majority of open dancing.

I couldn’t be happier with how the day went, and I feel so lucky to have been able to tell the story through the images below. Thank you to Danielle and Krammer for being so open and kind and thank you to all of the other hardworking vendors who made this possible.
