Why Do I Love Mammoth?
Mammoth Lakes, Ca holds such a special place in my heart. I grew up just south of there in a little town called Bishop. The place I worked at as a teen sells world famous jerky, so if you ever pass through make sure you get some! My parents put me into snowboarding lessons when I was only 4 years old. I actually don’t remember what it feels like to not know how to snowboard. It became my focus as I grew up and I competed throughout high school. Though I moved away from the area, I was called back when a friend of mine, who was a successful Mammoth wedding photographer, reached out and asked if I would want to shoot a few weddings with him. It took some convincing, but I am so glad that I followed through. I found a passion in shooting weddings and it all started in Mammoth. Now having photographed in many places in the US, I can say that nothing matches the feeling of being in those Eastern Sierras I called home for so long.
