June Mountain Wedding | Nick & Feby

June-Mountain-Wedding-Photography.jpg

A June Mountain Wedding is never anything short of spectacular. Resting halfway up the mountain, it has one of the best views of any wedding venue.

Nick and Feby’s wedding day started in Mammoth. The two of them got ready at the Juniper Springs Resort. Feby had a big, beautiful dress for the ceremony and a colorful, more cultural dress to change into for the reception. Nick’s blue suit with orange accents could not have compliment the environment any better.

We ventured to the outskirts of Mammoth for the first look. There was a slight cloud covering the sun, leaving us with a beautiful setting. The two of them looked simply amazing. I mean, take a look at the photo of them looking into the camera. Was this a wedding or a Vogue photo-shoot?

Look at that view! To get to the ceremony site at June Mountain everyone must take the chairlift up. This is an experience all on its own, but the true magic is what you see once you've arrived at the top. In my honest opinion, having a June Mountain wedding will provide you with the best view you can possibly get without hiking or needing four wheel drive.

Both Feby and Nick wrote their own vows for the ceremony. They were long, personal, and memorable. Some of the best I have heard at a ceremony.

One of my favorite parts of the day is the post-ceremony bride and groom portrait session. Even with the wind we managed to use Feby’s vail to our advantage. This is something I had never done before so I am extremely happy that the opportunity presented itself. And of course, mountain light rays for the win!

There is something special about the first dance regardless of how it is performed. But in this case, it was beyond words. Nick and Feby choreographed their first dance to be like no other. It was saucy and full of attitude and I loved every second of it.

Soon after the emotions were running high. Feby’s family from Indonesia could not be at the wedding so she and Nick face-timed them from the reception. When Nick’s mom saw, she began to cry with Feby, leaving a very emotional moment open for me to grab a beautiful shot. Feby kept the emotion high during the Mother-Son dance shortly after.

Again, look at the view! So good. That is June Lake and Gull Lake in the background in case you were unsure. The orange tones of the cultural outfits worked so well with the golden sunset light. I knew I wanted this view, but I also knew that because of our elevation I would be able to get a silhouette shot that isn’t possible at a lot of other venues in the mountains. I could not be happier with it.

Feby and Nick, your wedding day was so beautiful. Thank you so much for letting me in to capture it for you. I wish you guys the best.
